12 Week Challenge - 2021 Results

"Hi Paul. Here’s my 12 week challenge entry.
I started off the challenge wanting to become more confident in myself. After 12 weeks I’ve 100% changed mentally and my measurements have went down.
Normally when I finish a plan I treat myself with food, then I end up binging which starts this vicious circle again but after my last check in today I planned my day of eating on MFP again, I said I’d make sure I was going to bed with 10K steps and I am planning what day I would try run the 3km again. I have so much energy from eating nutritious food and not takeaway every few days like I used to.
I went away for a weekend near the end of this challenge and didn’t panic about what I was going to eat and wear or worry about what would fit, i looked ahead at the menu and found bits that were low calories and fitted into my day, I did go off plan once or twice during the 12 weeks but I had the tools to help me back to where i was by saving calories through out the week, I actually took a full length picture at one stage and liked it which was prob one of the biggest achievements, not hating myself like I normally do when I look back on pictures. It’s the little things like going away and not feeling like you will ruin your progress. I’ve realised that with a bit of extra planning everything works out.
My performance goal was to run 3km, and I did it yesterday for the first time. It’s something I never ever thought I could do. On day 1 where I had to run 200m I actually nearly died and said there’s no way il run the 3km. But I put my mind to it and did it and couldn’t be prouder of myself."
"I’m starting this challenge because I need something to get me my confidence and my self-esteem back. I feel like I’ve gotten a bit out of control food and exercise wise and I’m ready for that to get back on track!
I’m finishing this challenge in such a different place as I started, I’ve lost 7.6kgs, and 16cm off my waist. I look at myself in the mirror and I’m happy with what I see, I buy clothes and I don’t have to return any because I don’t like how they look. The way in which I communicate with myself has also taken a huge turn, no more nasty comments!
My whole mindset towards the food that I eat and how I eat has completely changed, I have over come the thought of exercise being punishment for eating too much. I now look forward to exercising as I know it’s making me stronger and fitter!
I can now do 5 full pushups, when I was barely able to do one from my knees at the very start, this was a huge performance goal for me because I never thought I’d be strong enough to do one!
This 12 week challenge is one of the best things I decided to do for myself, and I dragged my mom along for the ride, and it was unbelievable to have her doing it alongside me the whole time! I wouldn’t have done so well if it wasn’t for her 🥰

The 12 weeks have just been life changing. I have learned so much about food, exercise but mostly I learned so much about myself.
The support I got from you was AMAZING. You were there every step of the way and having a private chat with you made it easier to stay on track.
You always answered my questions with so much information so I knew exactly what I was doing.
Your app is easy use and informative. Loved the videos to explain how to do the workout.
The live Facebook videos were great to keep me motivated
I smashed so many goals during the 12 weeks. My main goal was to be down a dress size - smashed it. (Didn’t think this would be possible) I had smaller weekly goals to reach x amount of steps, eat x amount of calories…achieved them all thanks to you.
The results of my 12 weeks:
- Lost 16.7kg
- Lost 8.5cm off my waist
- Lost 9cm off my hips
- Lost 9cm off my chest
I never thought I would achieve this. My photos speak volumes.
All I can say is my life has now changed.I had an unhealthy relationship with food, didn’t realise how bad it was until I began my journey. I have a new lifestyle which I love. I am enjoying feeling fitter, healthier and feel good in my body. This definitely has kick started me on a healthier lifestyle.
